El fondo de inversi\u00f3n propiedad del Presidente de Prisa, Amber, se convirti\u00f3 en mayo de 2023 en el segundo accionista de Indra, la multinacional espa\u00f1ola que dispar\u00f3 sus beneficios en Defensa durante el a\u00f1o pasado<\/h3>\n

S\u00e1bado, dos de marzo:\u00a0\u201cEuropa se prepara ya para un escenario de guerra\u201d<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>El Pa\u00eds abr\u00eda fuego informativo con una portada (y un editorial) que advert\u00eda del advenimiento de un rearme inevitable. \u201cSi vis pacem, para bellum<\/a>\u201d,<\/span> dec\u00eda la cabecera del grupo Prisa, que activaba todas las alarmas ante la evidencia de la remilitarizaci\u00f3n del viejo continente que algunos llevaban tiempo advirtiendo.<\/p>\n

Mi\u00e9rcoles, seis de marzo. De nuevo, portada de El Pa\u00eds:\u00a0\u201cBruselas impulsa la industria de defensa ante la amenaza rusa<\/a>\u201d<\/strong><\/span>: m\u00e1s armas, m\u00e1s capacidad para fabricarlas, m\u00e1s investigaci\u00f3n y m\u00e1s inversi\u00f3n. La Estrategia Europea de Defensa, presentada un d\u00eda antes, fijaba adem\u00e1s una fecha: 2030, y un objetivo: que el 50% del armamento del que se doten los ej\u00e9rcitos de la Uni\u00f3n se fabrique en la propia Europa.<\/p>\n

Vay\u00e1monos apenas unas semanas atr\u00e1s, en el mismo diario El Pa\u00eds. Concretamente al 26 de febrero:\u00a0Nadia Calvi\u00f1o\u00a0<\/a>daba entonces su primera gran entrevista tras llegar a la presidencia del Banco Europeo de Inversiones. All\u00ed situaba la que parece, ser\u00e1 su principal misi\u00f3n al mando de la instituci\u00f3n. \u201cDebemos reforzar a la industria europea de defensa y nuestra capacidad disuasoria\u201d. Aunque ello implique modificar las propias bases del funcionamiento del banco comunitario para lograrlo.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

En mayo de 2023, Amber, el fondo del presidente de Prisa, duplicaba su inversi\u00f3n en Indra y se convert\u00eda en el segundo socio tras el Gobierno.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Si continuamos retrocediendo en el tiempo, llegamos al martes, 23 de mayo de 2023. La secci\u00f3n de Industria de\u00a0El Mundo<\/a> anunciaba que el fondo del presidente de Prisa duplicaba su inversi\u00f3n en Indra y se convert\u00eda en el segundo socio tras el Gobierno en la multinacional. <\/span><\/strong>\u201cEl fondo Amber, que dirige el presidente del grupo de comunicaci\u00f3n Prisa,<\/span> Joseph Oughourlian, ha comunicado a la Comisi\u00f3n Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV) que eleva de forma considerable su participaci\u00f3n en Indra, considerada una empresa estrat\u00e9gica\u201d. Y tanto: la inversi\u00f3n pasaba a ser el 7,2% de la empresa, lo que convierte a Amber, y por tanto a Oughourlian, en el segundo accionista con capacidad de influir en Indra por detr\u00e1s del Gobierno, que ostenta un 25% del capital. El nuevo porcentaje, al superar el umbral del 7%, daba adem\u00e1s a Amber derecho a designar un miembro en el consejo de administraci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Unos meses despu\u00e9s de esta noticia, en febrero de 2024,\u00a0La Vanguardia<\/a> hac\u00eda balance de los beneficios de INDRA: la sociedad cerr\u00f3 el 2023 ganando un 20% m\u00e1s, hasta los 206 millones, \u201cpor, esencialmente, el aumento de los ingresos de su divisi\u00f3n de defensa (transporte y defensa es la denominaci\u00f3n), que crecieron un 18%, hasta los 1.500 millones\u201d de los que se felicitaba el presidente de Indra, Marc Murtra, que lo consideraba un \u201cgran punto de partida\u201d.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Amber Capital,<\/a>\u00a0el fondo del presidente de Prisa, ni siquiera est\u00e1 en Espa\u00f1a:\u00a0es un\u00a0fondo de inversi\u00f3n\u00a0brit\u00e1nico, que Oughourlian fund\u00f3 en 2005 en Nueva York. Y esto nos lleva, de nuevo, al presente y al editorial del pasado fin de semana de El Pa\u00eds en el apelaba a \u201cla defensa de Europa ante la ciudadan\u00eda\u201d<\/a>\u00a0planteando que el rearme militar continental deb\u00eda ir acompa\u00f1ado, literalmente, \u201cde una labor intensa de explicaciones y pedagog\u00eda pol\u00edtica\u201d para que \u201cgeneraciones educadas en escenarios de paz\u201d lo acepten. <\/strong>El peri\u00f3dico de PRISA se ha puesto, desde luego, manos a la obra. \u00bfPor qu\u00e9? La respuesta es sencilla. Solo hay que unir por la l\u00ednea de puntos.<\/span><\/p>\n
